Jo finally has her perfect necklace

I struggled for 2 years looking for the perfect artist to assist me in designing a unique piece that would be equally attractive with jeans on a casual day and when dressed up for work events.  I was introduced to Christina by a mutual friend and was amazed at her artistry, and her ability to translate my thoughts into something real…and perfect!

My very unspecific requirements were: 1) Incorporate the main diamond in a unique way 2) Add the diamond chips that I brought that were from a necklace I was not wearing 3) Use a mix of white and yellow gold 3) Create a unique and organic style

With each meeting her sketches and drawings evolved to the point that I knew she had  nailed it.  I am delighted with the necklace and proud of the compliments I receive when wearing my necklace.

Come see me at the Cincinnati Art Museum

I am thrilled and honored that the curators of the Cincinnati Art Museum have included my "Tea for Two" silver teapot and pair of cups as part of the "Women Breaking Boundaries". It is on display in the Great Hall balcony, gallery number 222 "Modern & Contemporary Art" , which happens to be my favorite section of the museum, through 2022.

Where to see my work in person

Thomas Moore

“I adore wearing gems, but not because they are mine. You can’t possess radiance, you can only admire it.”

Elizabeth Taylor

“I try to write a poem but every metaphor is beaten by my mother’s hammer – twang of steel on gold…”

from "Ekphrastic" by Alicia Marie Brandewie

“Now the melancholy God protect thee, and the tailor make thy garments of changeable taffeta, for thy mind is opal.”

William Shakespeare

“…wear the drops in the American South among girls in full strands – passed through generations…”

from "Pearls" by Alicia Marie Brandewie
